this past week has been one of snotty noses, a pesky teething episode (which has failed to produce any actual rupture-action), and a couple of days of a healing husband after some not so pleasant dental work. but, even though i seem to have come down with the fall bug that entered our home two weeks ago- things are looking up! it's my birthday (week) and the restaurant is staying steady and our babies' snotty noses are drying up. and... we paid a little visit to a neighborhood pumpkin patch on wednesday::
the evening sun welcomed us...
to a church front yard that boasts a lovely little roadside pumpkin 'patch'...
no scenic country road, no hay rides, no hot apple cider... but pumpkins galore
and baby bear cubs...
and wagons...
and mums...
plenty of rows to run through...
and dads who take lovely photos of mamas...
a cloud covered sky bid us farewell...
not too shabby for an in town last minute escape from crankypants colds and such!
